Taking Back our Community!...

« on: February 01, 2012, 01:01:54 AM »

What the board, Management and their newly appointed "Collection Attorney" DON'T want you to know...

"Like a bully taking away your lunch money"

Folks, you really have to educate yourselves, but here's the beginning of a series of posts that will shed light on a particular "Federal Law" designed to protect consumers.

...but first...DISCLAIMER: This information is in no way shape or form intended as legal advice!

For anyone being currently harassed and/or sued, or even threatened to be sued for debts owed to SLCA, please take notice that there is a perfectly legal way of handling or defending against said debts.

Very important!!! You just CAN NOT ignore any letters and/or phone communications regarding these debts. If you do receive a letter or call of intent to collect these debts, you must answer immediately and in accordance with the laws (generally within 30 days) designed to protect you as a consumer.

Did you know that any violation of the FDCPA is actionable in "Federal" Court?

Stay tuned as coming soon is a separate section within this website that will be designated as a library of sample legal docs such as sample letters that can be used for various issues currently going on in SLCA. It will be exclusive to registered members of this website. (Again...NOT to be construed as Legal advice)

Thanks again, and "Please come back now, ya here?" Wink
